Tim and Katt's visit

Tim called and said they were running a little late due to the I-90 closures (due to Seafair), but they arrived around 1800, bearing German apple cake and wine. We gave them the two-bit tour, and ate soon after: roast beef, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, Fuller's London Porter (first time trying, picked it up on Tim's recommendation; it was quite good), and their wine, a 2002 Latitude 46°N (a Walla Walla winery).
After dinner we headed downstairs to play some games on the Wii—I'm not much into that, but they convinced me to try a couple races on Mario Kart. Each couple also shared an Old Rasputin (not while driving, of course!). Then back upstairs again: we taught them Euchre and Scotland Yard; Tim and I won the former, and Tim also managed to elude us in the latter as the criminal on the lam, "Mr. X". Somewhere in there we also had some of the Rogue chocolate stout (some of which was spilled, but we cleaned it up so well I can't even tell where the spill was any more), and Katt's excellent German apple cake. It was around midnight when the Scotland Yard game ended, and they headed home.
